Republican Opponent

Nathan Brooks

1.) Nathan Brooks has been found guilty of domestic violence, DWI, and evading a police officer, and been charged with another DWI and battery on a police officer. Just like Donald Trump, we shouldn't elect criminals into public office.

a.) In 2005, he was charged with, and convicted of, Domestic Violence. He brutally beat his wife (read the gruesome police report here), then later threatened law enforcement officers and threatened to kill his wife when he got out of jail.

b.) In 2006, Nathan Brooks was arrested and charged with DWI. (See report HERE)

c.) In 2007, Mr. Brooks is arrested and charged again, this time for Battery Upon a Peace Officer, Resisting/Evading/Obstructing an Officer, Reckless Driving, Aggravated DWI, and additional offences.  He was convicted and served jail time.

d.) In 1998, Mr. Brooks was also charged with Criminal Trespass.

2.) Nathan Brooks opposes policies that protect workers such as Paid Family and Medical Leave, and increasing the minimum wage. (2024 NM Biz Coalition Survey Responses)

3.) Nathan Brooks won't say it when he is running for office, but if elected, he will be just another vote for the Republican plan to ban all abortions in New Mexico and criminalize women and their doctors if they seek one, just like Republicans are doing in states like Texas and Oklahoma where they have power.
